Hello World !!!

Let’s just say I went into holiday mode from December 20th 2013 and only are resurfacing now after my leave ended on January 21st 2014. The holidays were absolutely amazing having spent it with family at Zimbali Resort in Durban. It was absolutely breath taking and more than anything a relaxing get away. I got a tan, I swam at the every single day, talk about a lot of exercise and I enjoyed my champagne and cocktails… The best part was the champagne birthday breakfast my aunt and uncle planned for me at the beach pools – now that was awesome!!!
A few things I took along on my trip that actually worked well with my holiday pieces apart from sunscreen.

1. A bold lip
Whether I choose to have on pink, plum or red on my lips, there is nothing like a bold lip that helps give me more sass on any given day. Just that little application boots up my face and any outfit I put on be it simple or otherwise. My lippie choice is always MAC, MAC, MAC you all have read my favourites but I’ll say Bobby Brown’s creamy lipcolor in Blue Rasberry no 5 had the most fun on my lips this time around over the holidays.

2. A hat
Having spent most of my time in the sun, I realized that a hat was a great accessory to have whether I was laid out at the pool, or beach. I am one for baseball hats, beanies and more so recently fedora’s. I just think a hat just adds enough spice to any look. It just elevates a persons’ appearance as a whole whether its toned down or turned up.

3. A statement necklace
This was more my daily go to accessory. Even when I wore a simple t-shirt I added a bit of flare with a few chunky pieces when I could just to make my simple look more fab than drab. And it worked tremendously – I absolutely loved adding statement necklaces to my looks.

4. A Great Bag & Shoes
For most of the holidays I used a crossbody bag although I carried a few other options. But we all know by now that I love my bags and shoes. They are the fail safe to any look guaranteed. Be it a simple summer dress, a party look, jeans and a t-shirt a sexy pair of heels and bag will always stand out and elevate any look to the next level. And confidence is key in any look – so own it lady!!!

I love simple, classy with a little shudge… Sure sometimes I mix and match all the options listed as I did with a look I wore at my friend’s Kitchen Tea on January 12th 2014 at the Southen Sun Sandton. I had a cute netted fascinator on in navy, my fabulous vintage mango dress I hadn’t worn since buying it 3 years ago, had a sexy Kenneth Cole clutch that I’ve had for years and my sexy nine-west multi-strap sandals on. I had left my camera so my pics are very limited.
