Color Crush - Cobalt Blue
Hello HH's
This beautiful color may have been made famous by Carrie Bradshaw in SATC when she wore the infamous Blue Manolo’s but I must say the last few weeks of March when my boyfriend and I were shopping in Mango at Sandton City Mall is when this little jacket caught my attention. I may save the shoes for my something blue on my wedding but this jacket sure has my heart for the meantime and my Zara Handbag from DC just adds that little oomph in my winter step. This color is so amazing and is my current color crush. Though it’s been mainly linked to being a winter color, there are summer pieces that work in this color as well. I like to tone it down somewhat when I pair it during weekdays for work, but wear it as loud as I want to on weekends. I go for a darker combination color such as black for the office as shown in my outfit post today just to make it blend in the corporate world. I am on the lookout for some cobalt blue pants I could possibly pair with a white tank top for summer – Fingers crossed I find one on my frequent shopping sprees. I was in such a rush I didn’t even wear any jewellery having been up since 3am today – insomnia getting the best of me. This color has been creeping into everyone’s closet since the color blocking season came about and I am loving it more and more each day as I explore which ways I can use it be it in clothing, makeup etc. I know the boldness of it can be over-powering but I always say try something bold every once in a while and you’ll never be boring to look at.
PS: I was in a bit of a goofy mood :)
