It's that time of year again... Holiday Season... Something about this time of year gets everyone in a good mood. I just love the spirit of Christmas. And well it's my Birthday Month... I can't wait to be officially on leave so I can enjoy all that this wonderful time has to offer....

In today’s society the meaning of being a lady is more over looked than not. I would like to say I have always have been a lady since I transformed from the tomboy moth to the lady butterfly. I’ve always told myself of course echoing from the words of my mother that a lady is not just defined by age, but also the morals and principles one stands by, the actions we take on our life’s journeys, how we carry ourselves and yep clothing has a role to play in all this be it in a casual look or at a black tie event. I am not saying we should look older than what we are and cover up from neck to toes, but we should be put together as a woman who appreciates her reputation but understands the importance of her character. Let’s just say my palette for makeup is ever expanding. I am always getting new trinkets to add to my makeup especially when seasons are changing. I just got a few things from Mac this week I wanted to share. First off the Lipsticks!!!! I think the vampy modern 90s look is slowly sneaking into my closet. The lipsticks I am in love with that should see me through winter are Media, Red and Dubonnet. I am loving these 3 shades to add to my winter looks that include Runaway Red, Rebel and Brave Red. These shades just compliment my skin tone the best and will be in heavy rotation this fall to winter... Mac always seem to have great lipsticks that work for me although I have had a few misses like Ruby Woo which is just too matte and dry for me I take it. Let’s just say I went into holiday mode from December 20th 2013 and only are resurfacing now after my leave ended on January 21st 2014. The holidays were absolutely amazing having spent it with family at Zimbali Resort in Durban. It was absolutely breath taking and more than anything a relaxing get away. I got a tan, I swam at the every single day, talk about a lot of exercise and I enjoyed my champagne and cocktails… The best part was the champagne birthday breakfast my aunt and uncle planned for me at the beach pools – now that was awesome!!! A few things I took along on my trip that actually worked well with my holiday pieces apart from sunscreen. 1. A bold lip Whether I choose to have on pink, plum or red on my lips, there is nothing like a bold lip that helps give me more sass on any given day.
