Good Food = Good Health And Beauty

Truth be told I am living by these words lately, What you put in your body is far more important than what you apply externally. I’m not saying that one should not moisturize the face, scalp your hair etc, the two work hand in hand but internal plays a bigger role than external applications. These following 10 foods will not only make you feel fantastic but you’ll have great hair, amazing skin and your body will be banging… 1. COCONUT OIL I’ve been reading up and watching a lot of youtube videos and what do you know coconut oil does wonders for our immune systems. It’s good for the heart and ofcourse it helps with making your skin glow and hairline shine. A teaspoon of this everyday gets you a step closer to a better self. 2. SALMON I Hear Seafood… Now we all know Salmon is delicious and provides us with Omega 3. For balanced health we need both Omega 6 and Omega 3. In most cases we tend to get much of Omega 6 and lack in the other. Some of the great sources I have found over the...

PICTURE PERFECT....

Image
We all want that picture perfect look, well here are some of the tricks I use to achieve just that. I hope all you dolls out there find useful tips that work for you... 1. BRONZER I am certainly one to use Bronzer and it is a great way to illuminate ones skin. It brings about this glow that is just so inviting and makes skin look flawless. It’s perfect for the summer, and is a great way to embrace your new sun kissed complexion. I use the MAC bronzer which is absolutely amazing on all skin types and is a mineralize skin finish that’ll take your glow to the next level. But be careful, Bronzers are usually highly pigmented, so too much of it can make you look too shiny rather golden if not applied in moderation. 2. BRUSHES The application of your make up is so important and it takes a while to get it down packed to be honest. I use brushes and sponges but I must say you usually get a better finish when you use the appropriate brush. I have been using the MAC Brush Collection which ...

In Love With Red...

I figured it has been a while since I posted anything with my face on it, better yet, I have not posted much of anything this year and we're already almost at the end of it. Halloween is in 2 weeks can you believe that? Where did the time go is all I'm asking though I am so excited for the holidays at the same time - my favourite time of year :) yay!!! Did I ever mention that I Heart RED? I sure do, maybe not as much as black but it's up there... In one of my Afrofusion albums on FB, I posted these pics and thought I might as well share my makeup secrets. I kept it very simple seeing as I decided to have red lips, the kind that stop you in your tracks close enough to being fire engine red ;). Enjoy!!! BIG BOLD EYES….

Image
Eye shadow is one of those beauty products that can be a little harder to wear, I should know seeing as my eyes are big and I have an invisible crease unlike others and that’s more difficult to manage when applying eye shadow. I know a lot of women who stay away from bold colors and shimmer because they’re just not quite sure how to make the look work for them; I was one of them women but have since become more daring in the dirty thirties. While there’s nothing wrong with a great matte, neutral shade for day-to-day wear, I think that the best way to really make your eyes pop is with a shadow that makes a statement. My eyes are quite dark, so I like to at least add some color give my eyes more of a focal point other than the fact that they are big. I have used my big framed glasses to play down the size at times, but either way I love to have color peak through with or without my glasses. He re are my tips on how to pull it off: 1. Find Balance Bold/Neutral. If you’re wearing bold...

Addicted to ESSIE....

Hey HD's... Let's just say I have always been brand loyal, and Revlon Nail Colors have always been constant with me especially with moving around the globe so much... Essie on the other hand had me at HELLO, with colors like Merino Cool - my go to color, Jam ' N ' Jelly, Cute as a button, my absolute fav Splash of Grenadine, Bachelorette Bash, Bungle Jungle, Sea Breeze, Head Mistress, Boxer Shorts, Coat Azure, She's Picture Perfect, the list is endless... My collection is always in need of company with my adding more colors every time I go to the store and a new color catches my eye.I can't say I am really one for summer being that it gets unbearably hot, but the electric bold colors that come along with summer make it all the more bearable with sandals showing off the awesome pedicures, and the italian hand gestures showing off the manicure in conversations while sharing infectious laughter with friends... That's what makes my summer worthwhile, when i l...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG

Image
Where Did Time Go??? HAPPY 2nd Birthday!!! Wow, I can't believe it's already another blog birthday. I feel like i just started seeing as this year has seemingly zoomed by so fast and I haven't blogged once which is actually very sad... Though my blog bday is on 8th April and I am trying to make up for lost time, I must say I also need to state that I'll try and blog more often from here on out... Between my camera packing up and not having time to do anything, I guess I just slacked off majorly and need to pick myself up by my boot straps and kick into gear. It's never too late to start being proactive... HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my blog!!!

Happy ThanksGiving to All !!!
